Visiting Family along the Way

A drive of a few hours after breakfast found us in Colorado, where two of Marilyn's nieces and their families live. Only niece Clare, who serves with the Army National Guard, was absent. We so missed her.

We stayed in a grand AirBnB--full basement apartment--just around the corner from niece Alexa. Some of our grand-nieces and -nephews came to "our" place each day for lunch. Harper and Beckett--with Harper's not-to-be-argued-with urging--cleaned up after lunch.
Asher scored an amazing goal from a corner angle and made an impressive double-save as goalie later in the game.
Mom and Dad Alexa and Michael were proud of Asher's achievements.
Nevermind it was chilly and rainy. We were all there to support Asher--and the nearby food truck.
While Michael G--above with Alexa--prepared one of his culinary extravaganzas...
...everyone else crowded onto the couch--it used to be my mom's, their grandma's/great-grandma's--to play trivia on their phones.
Uncle Doug was a magnet as always to the kids--here with Beckett...
and with Dalila, FionaMarie, and Harper.
Asher and Jaden (below) proved their teenage prowess...

...and treated mom/aunt Alexa to a Mother's Day lift through the squeeze gate.
Alexa and Marilyn
We adore my sister's children and grandchildren. Oh, and the visit included laundry and showers--so much better when they come with family.

  1. Nice! We are in Dawson Creek, about to get on the Alcan Hwy. We drove fairly quickly to the Canadian border, but are taking our time since then. Funny - the RV camp where we stayed last night filled up late, then emptied early this morning. I think people are rushing to get to Alaska. We are taking it a little slow - enjoying the provincial parks - beautiful locations, a campfire at night... Looking forward to your next part!
